Great Artists of the New Millenium

I have to agree with Deadspin--this has to be, without question, the greatest painting of a football player (Bill Romanowski, it turns out) fighting a demonic horse from Hell to save the castle, that I've ever seen.

Now this is ART!

What is that coming out of its eye? A sea anemone? a yellow daisy?

Definitely a sea anemone. I'd have said it was fire, but that just can't be right--why would a demonic horse from Hell choose to fight mortal enemy Bill Romanowski over water, when all Romo would have to do is dunk his head once.

Battle over. Roidanowski wins.

Well, I'd have guessed fire to - except that its mane seems to be a strip of orange shag carpet from the sixties. Now if its mane had been fire then there is no way the sea anemone could have grown out of its eye (and a yellow daisy would have been right out, too) so it would have had to be fire. An odd... stalked... fuzzy... firebolt-ish thing.

Shag carpet! That's what it is! I was wondering where I'd seen it before; you reminded me of one of the places where I lived when I was in college; the "apartment" featured two different colors of shag carpet--bright fiery orange (like our equine friend), and pea-soup green.

Truly a beautiful combination.
